Hello, ... attached below is the latest Church bulletin.
Message from Archbishop LeGatt in support of
Development and Peace's Share Lent campaign
This Lent, we are invited to "Share Love". Development and Peace's theme for Share Lent 2021 is inspired by Pope Francis' encyclical Fratelli Tutti, which deals with fraternity and social friendship, reminding us that we are all sisters and brothers.
This weekend, on March 20 and 21, we celebrate Solidarity Sunday (Share Lent collection) across the country. I invite all the faithful of our diocese to pray for peace, to reflect on the meaning of universal fraternity and to be in solidarity with the most vulnerable in the Global South. The Share Lent collection is an opportunity to honour the Holy Father’s message as a global community and to find inspiration from the parable of the Good Samaritan which is at the centre of his encyclical. It is a way of doing our part so that, as the Pope hopes, “every person lives with dignity and has sufficient opportunities for his or her integral development”.
I invite you to make a Share Lent donation to Development and Peace, either through your parish, or directly to Development and Peace online at devp.org/lent, by phone at 1 888 234-8533 (toll-free) or by mail at 1425 Rene-Levesque Blvd West, 3rd floor, Montreal, Quebec, H3G 1T7. This Lent, let us embark on a path of sharing, love and universal solidarity!
